Disco music to be played at all council meetings

The amount of business conducted by councils often means that committee meetings can be very long, with little use of images or sound. In turn, members of the public are not inclined to attend council meetings.

Could we speed up business, generate enthusiasm and draw bigger audiences by setting each discussion to a different disco track?

Proposals to rebuild a primary school destroyed by fire could be set to 'Disco Inferno', for example, or a funding request for a community dance event to 'Yes Sir, I Can Boogie'.

Why the contribution is important

We need to generate interest in council business, maintain momentum in discussion and - if nothing else - test the speakers in the council chamber.
